Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced on July 12 that Turkey finds it impossible to continue NATO's partnership with Israel.

"Turkey will not support cooperation with Israel within the framework of NATO until a comprehensive and stable peace is established in Palestine," Erdoğan stated at a press conference during the NATO summit, according to Reuters.

Erdoğan also emphasised Turkey's ongoing diplomatic efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war. Additionally, he mentioned that he had instructed Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to meet with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to initiate the rebuilding of relations with Syria.

On the topic of the sale of F-16 fighter jets to Turkey, Erdoğan revealed that he had spoken with US President Joe Biden, who assured him that the issue would be resolved within three to four weeks.
